Boschung now officially in the Technology Park “Aéropôle” in Payerne

The new “Boschung Technology Center” has already launched the first new products such as the Urban-Sweeper S2.0

Payerne · September 7, 2018 - The Boschung Group in Payerne, a world leading provider for surface condition management, today celebrated the official commissioning of the “Boschung Technology Center” in the Aéropole Technology Park at the Payerne military airfield with numerous customers and guests from politics, economy and administration.

About a year ago, the Boschung Group commissioned the new “Boschung Technology Center” in the Aéropole Technology Park at the military airfield in Payerne. The industrial group, which originally came from the canton of Fribourg, not only brought together all parts of the Company in Switzerland at one central location, but also created a very special workplace for synergy effects with the state-of-the-art “Boschung Technology Center”.

In the “Boschung Technology Center” about 180 employees from the three business units AIRPORT, HIGHWAY & ROAD and TOWN & MUNICIPALITY work on the Company’s vision of the future, namely the fully automated operation and maintenance of operating surfacess. In this context, Boschung develops its own hardware and software solutions, batteries and controls for self-driving maintenance vehicles in accordance with its own “Zero Emission” strategy. Through its aviation business, Boschung has its own taxiways and immediate access to the operational areas of the Payerne military airfield that is now also used for civil aviation. Thus the Company can test its developments immediately in practice.

Already the first products could be launched in the “Boschung Technology Center” according to the Company’s own corporate vision. The “Urban-Sweeper S2.0” is a fully electrical sweeper with zero emission as well as for towns and municipalities, airports and industry plants.

In recent years, the company has developed a pipeline of innovative products and solutions and intends to launch them in a short cadence in order to defend and expand its market leadership.
